Joyce Trainer--God's Little Angels (Haiti)

God's Littlest Angel's Haitian Baby Ministry (GLA)  is located in Petionville, Haiti. GLA is approximately 15 miles south of Port-au-Prince. I originally came here in January of 2004 with intentions of staying for five months. When my five months came to an end I felt God calling me to stay and spend a few more months here. Those few months have now turned into a little over two and a half years. God has blessed me and taught me so much during my last few years of following Him faithfully. I can't imagine being anywhere but here right now. He is so good to me!

The orphanage has grown to over twice its size since 2004. When I first arrived, there were 70 children at the orphanage between the ages of newborns to five years old. Now there are just under 150 between the ages of newborns to 16 years old. The orphanage consists of two houses. The Main House is the home of approximately 80 babies under the age of two. It is also the home of the Bickel family who own and run the orphanage. There is also about 30 Haitian staff there at one time working to help cook, clean, and care for the children.
