Cloverdale South Emmaus Group Info Night

The Emmaus Groups are a time for people from the same neighbourhood areas to get together for time of fellowship, discipleship, and pastoral care, and to engage in missional outreach.

The groups will meet most likely monthly, at the same house every month to share a meal, participate in fellowship through prayer, singing, and discussion. The groups will be larger than small groups, but not more than a single large house can hold. Some groups may meet in a more public setting, like the common room of an apartment building, or a community hall. The groups are open to anyone to come on the gatherings; the door is open. A group that is blessed with increasing numbers, will need to look to kickstart a new gathering as it approaches the limits of its space.

The meetings we have scheduled for April and into May, are going to look like the Emmaus Group meetings, but they are explorations - taste tests, if you will. These gatherings in April and May will be hosted by the couples and families displayed on our Emmaus Group board. But these are not the permanent homes for the Emmaus Groups. These exploration meetings are to determine what are our geographical representation of commitment to the Emmaus groups, and answer questions such as where is everyone coming from in this area, how many children will there be, how large a space do we need, and what space is available to us.
