There has been a growing desire from some at Pacific to see the development of a Care Ministry that would extend a hospitable hand to those in our community in practical ways. One specific way to reach out to those in need is through the provision of meals. We know that Pacific is full of those with the gifts of hospitality and serving - this may be one way for you to minister to others using these gifts! "He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.†Luke 24: 35b
The idea is to get a group together of those interested in helping others in this way to "brainstorm" how we can best put together and distribute meals to individuals and families in need (for various reasons such as surgery, hospitalization, sickness, injury, stress, family issues, birth of baby, financial crisis, death, a move, etc).
We will be holding a general meeting on Thursday June 21; 7:30 pm in room 125 and we invite anyone to attend that has an interest - even if it's just to be on a list to make meals.
Please RSVP here or contact Nicole Den Haan nddh@live.com for more information.
