David Hearn was elected as President of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada at General Assembly in Winnipeg on July 6, 2012.
David Hearn is currently District Superintendent of the Canadian Pacific District (our district). He becomes the fourth president since the Canadian Alliance gained autonomy and separated from The Christian and Missionary Alliance in the United States.
David Hearn was elected on the first ballot. The new President was selected from amongst a group including Ken Driedger, Ric Gilbertson and Gerald Hogenbirk. The Nominating Committee indicated in its report to Assembly that each of the candidates was eminently qualified to lead the denomination in this, the next chapter of its existence.
