Pacific practices Child Dedication as a public declaration of our desire as parents to raise our children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Eph 6:1-4). This is a time to make a commitment before the Lord and in the presence of God’s church family to submit our children to God’s will and raise them according to His Word and His ways. Child dedication does not ensure salvation for a child; only personal salvation in Christ brings salvation.
In presenting your child for dedication at Pacific during one of our Worship Services, you declare your concern for the spiritual well being of your child (Genesis 22:12; I Samuel 1:27‐28; Matthew 19:13‐15) and express your intent to lead him/her in the way of Jesus Christ. Your child also then becomes the unique responsibility of the church as we receive your child into our care and do our part to disciple them in the Gospel. As a church, Pacific makes a commitment to supporting you and your family as you teach and train your child in God's Word. We wish to demonstrate an example of godliness, discipling according to God's ways, and praying earnestly with you for your child.
Child Dedications do not happen each week at Pacific, but if you are interested in having your child, no matter what the age, dedicated during one of our Sunday Worship Services, please complete this form or contact Taya Vantol to request a date that works for your family.
