800 delegates were gathered at the Convention Centre in Winnipeg July 3-7 for the Biennial General Assembly of the C&MA in Canada.  While in Winnipeg, delegates had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new friends, worship God and also worked together on a couple of items related to the future of our C&MA in Canada.

Here are the results and motions passed at the Assembly:
  • Rev. David Hearn was elected as President of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.
  • The word “person” will be substituted for the word “men” throughout the Ordination policy
  • Policy on process of electing District Superintendents: “a partial report of the Nomination Committee to District Conference shall identify which candidate it recommends to conference and will occur at least 30 days prior to conference"
