Beware of Phishing

Pacific Community Church
Scam Alert
Beware of Phishing

Beware of Phishing

Dear Church Family,

We want to make you aware of a scam email that has recently been circulating, appearing to come from Pastor Prince. The message typically begins with: “Got a minute? I have a small request for you.” If you respond, the sender may then ask for help with something “important,” such as purchasing or organizing gift cards for staff or team members.

Please be advised that this is a scam.

The pastors, staff, and elders at Pacific will never ask you to purchase items on their behalf—especially gift cards—via email or text message. Any request like this should be treated as fraudulent.

If you receive such a message, please report it or delete it immediately and do not respond.

If you are unsure whether a message is legitimate, or if you believe you may have responded to or been affected by this scam, we encourage you to contact the church office right away at office@pacificcommunity.ca

Thank you for your vigilance and for helping us protect our church community.
