Hello Church Family. I’m Bob Oliver. More than twenty years ago Carol and I began attending PCC, way back in the days when church services were held at Martha Currie School. Over the years we have been a part of PCC’s growth, participating in the many of the renovations after our church moved into this warehouse, and volunteering with the community kitchen.
For a few years we were privileged to host a home group that was impactful, and many in our church family attended.
At age 49 in the midst of a challenging career I hit bottom and, one late night Christ forgave my sins and lifted me back up. That was the beginning of a new direction for me. On the inside back cover of my Bible is a list diarizing twenty- one events in my life that I am aware of that The Lord has had a hand in since he saved me, and I am confident there are more to come. As part of my faith journey, In 2010 I received my MBA from Trinity Western University.
Now in retirement, Carol and I are blessed with good health, allowing us to travel, to enjoy our garden and to spend quality time with our grandchildren.
It is an honour to be asked to allow my name to stand for membership in the Board of Elders here at PCC. I look forward to being of continuing service to this church community.
Oh and by the way, I am known to roast a mean lamb shoulder.
