OPERATION BABY BOTTLE

OPERATION BABY BOTTLE

Mothers Day to Fathers Day

The Pregnancy Options Centre works in our community to help teens, youth, women and families that are facing an unplanned pregnancy.  They have been reaching out to people in need for 37 years!

Our church wants to support them in this 'front-line' ministry again this year by joining with them for their annual Baby Bottle Campaign from Mothers Day to Fathers Day!  Your donations mean that the women, men and unborn children that need help in our own community always have a place to turn to for support and encouragement!

The campaign is virtual again this year! Please visit their website HERE for more info and HERE to make your donation.  You can also support them by praying for the ministry and by sharing the campaign with your family and friends!

PCC U - The Reliability of the Bible

PCC U - The Reliability of the Bible

With Jon ImBeau

Pastor Jon will be teaching a PCC U course that will take an in-depth look at why we can trust the Scriptures and what the evidence is for saying that our Bible is reliable. We will look at trusting the source, the transmission, and the translation. This will be a course offered over 2 nights (Wednesdays, May 24 & 31). Each night will be from 7 pm - 8:30 pm

Can you trust the scriptures to be the word of God?
"You can't trust the Bible because it has changed so much over the years." Have you heard a statement like that before? Or what about, "Don't you know that there were other letters that the disciples wrote but Constantine kept those out in the Council of Nicaea." Questions and statements like these represent a sceptical view of the reliability of the Bible. Do you know what to say to questions like these? Have you ever wondered if this ancient document can be trusted today?

Youth Pie Auction Fundraiser

Youth Pie Auction Fundraiser

Sunday, May 28TH!

God is moving powerfully in the hearts of the next generation, and many students are encountering Jesus in a personal and intimate way. Students are becoming deeply committed, and there is increasing student involvement in our youth ministry. We believe that God has much more in store for our students and their unreached friends. Help us continue this good work by donating a dessert to be auctioned off!

There will be a LIVE dessert auction the same time as our Pie in the Face Fundraiser on Sunday, May 28th to cover hospitality, event, leadership, and discipleship costs.

If you are able to make a pie or dessert to be auctioned off, please contact Diane at diane.wong@pacificcommunity.ca

Please join us right after the 10am service in the common area. Bring a cheque book, cash or pay online (we even take IOU's). We appreciate your support! Any extra funds will be put towards our annual fall retreat at Camp Kawkawa.

Justice and the Pursuit of God

Justice and the Pursuit of God

Spring Sermon Series

The pursuit of Justice is one such value here at Pacific. If you were to search the world for the essence of justice you would find it perfectly in the character of God. The Scriptures consistently describe God as perfectly just and biblical stories portray him in this way too. The followers of God are called to His presence and are bid to work out the justice of God within relationships - humanity with God, humanity with one another and humanity with creation.

In our Spring preaching series at Pacific, we will be looking at stand-alone texts and the last two chapters of Jonah for God’s word on how we might be a community more defined by the value of Transformative Justice.

RIGHTNOW MEDIA

RIGHTNOW MEDIA

Giants. Talking Snakes. Nephilim. Lake of Fire. Plagues. On the surface, it appears that the Old Testament is filled with some weird stuff, but what if you were told that the point isn't the "weird"? In this six part series, Dr. Jeff Voth and Hebrew scholar, Dr. Nathan French, discuss and make sense of some of the weird stuff in the Bible to ultimately point us back to the needed redemption of Jesus Christ.
