Lent is an integral season during the year for believers across the globe–a time of personal reflection to prepare our hearts and minds to remember Jesus’ crucifixion on Good Friday and to celebrate His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Many Christians participate in fasting and focused praying during lent as a means through the Holy Spirit’s empowerment to live more Godly lives based on embodying the teachings of Jesus. However, there are several themes that believers give attention to during this six (6) week period, and here at Pacific, as we approach Easter, we will be engaging in a three (3)-week sermon series that will explore the Lenten themes of waiting, temptation(s), and suffering.

We will be coming together once again here at PCC, in unity, with the Cloverdale Churches for our Good Friday service, to remember the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to celebrate our redemption in His blood.

Please join us on Good Friday, March 29th at 10am, as we pause together and consider His death on the cross.

A dear member of our church family, Stacy Dryfhout, has been living with ALS and Frontal Temporal Dementia. On the morning of March 10th, Stacy passed away to be with our Lord, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Please keep her family in your constant prayers as they process this profound loss. There will be a Celebration of Life Service held on April 3, 2024 at 7 pm at Peace Portal Alliance Church (15128 27B Avenue, Surrey).

The pastoral staff has received some concerns around the timing of sharing the news of Stacy’s health challenges. Although we as a pastoral team had the opportunity to journey with, care for, and pray for Stacy throughout this time, we did not have permission to share her diagnosis publicly. We praise God that Stacy is now free of all pain and is in the presence of our Lord, adding her beautiful voice to Heaven’s song.

For our first hike in 2024, we're going to do an easy-rated hike that is both for getting back into the routine and inviting kids along during their Spring Break. Everyone welcome! Please join us at Minnekhada parking lot in Coquitlam at 9AM on Tuesday, March 26th. We ask that you RSVP here!!

There are some inclines and a bit of root systems on this hike, otherwise rated easy. It will be a 2-2.5 hour hike. We will do the loop with some off-shoots for pretty views and a bit of a rest (and probably group photo!).  For more info click on the link below!

30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World is a global prayer event during Ramadan. The 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World booklet, can help you learn about Muslim people groups all over the world and helps guide prayers specific to their physical and spiritual needs. It's a beautiful way to love others, and pray for signs, wonders, and ultimately, salvation. Ramadan starts March 10th and goes until April 8th. 

There will be booklets available in the sanctuary. If all of the booklets are taken, there are PDFs available here, including one for kids, and a Spanish edition. 

SAVE THE DATE! Our next men's ministry breakfast will be on Saturday, April 20th from 9am to 11am. This breakfast is the perfect opportunity for getting to know other men in our church family. During our time together you will receive tasty food, awesome fellowship and great conversation!

Tim and Maria Staunton are planning to start a new growth group. The group will begin by meeting once per month on Saturday evenings. We are thinking this time for meetings may appeal to parents who have challenges participating in a growth group on weeknights, due to kids' activities or work responsibilities. We will start the group by meeting at the church. We will discuss sermon questions from the previous week's sermon, which the church provides.
