1. Wednesday Evening Growth Group
Meeting Wednesday evenings weekly from 7pm-9pm.
The content for discussion is based on the previous Sunday's sermon, using sermon questions provided on the website. The goal is to apply what was presented, to see how it can make a difference in the way we live our lives.
We dedicate one hour for sharing and prayer requests and then pray for each person in the group. The focus is intentional spiritual growth and deep care and support for each other as we walk through real-life issues.
2. Women's Growth Group
Meeting Wednesday evenings 7pm-9pm bi-weekly, rotating homes between the South Surrey area and the Cloverdale/Langley area. We find ourselves doing deep dives into thought-provoking books. Some previous authors we've looked at include Richard B Hayes and Helen Davis and most recently Bearing God's Name - Why Sinai Still Matters by Carmen Joy Imes. Our next book will be Dallas Willard's, The Spirit of the Disciplines.
3. Men's Study Growth Group
A men's sermon based growth group, meeting the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at Tim Hortons from 8:30am-10:00am. There are quite a variety of voices in our group, but we strive to have respectful conversations as we grow together in Christ.
4. Seniors Growth Group
A growth group of seniors who meet every 2nd Friday morning from 10am-12pm at the church.
5. Men's Prayer Growth Group
Meeting monthly on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm. This group does not have a strict attendance requirement with the hopes that instead it is a life-giving group that draws men to make time to come because it is a source of renewal and encouragement. Our first meeting will be August 8th from 7pm-8:30pm at McLeod Athletic Park (56 ave & 216 st, southeast corner). We spend most of our time in conversation and fellowship with time to share prayer requests and engage in prayer.
6. Family Growth Group
Meeting Friday evenings bi-weekly at 6pm. This group is mainly families with kids and the goal is to provide a relaxed, pressure-free space for parents to pray, work through teaching and have solid conversations togther over good food. Dinners are simple and potluck style and we rotate our meeting space around the Langley and Cloverdale area. Starting in September, we will be working through an 8 week online parenting course called "Discipline That Connects with Your Child's Heart" - a Biblical framework for parenting taught by a non-profit Christian ministry; Connected Families. You can read more about the course here and more about Connected Families here.
