MISSIONAL MOMENT

MISSIONAL MOMENT

Pacific is a church that is passionate about missions!  We have a Missional Team that is dedicated to overseeing the missional fund and they evaluate how Pacific can support missionaries and missional ministries.  These funds are distributed according to how the Team senses God is directing them.

One of the partnerships we have is with The Gideons International in Canada/Shareworld Global.  Pacific supports them through giving and prayer and this week we want to highlight their ministry.

Take a moment to read the exciting, new opportunities that are opening up in Nicaragua, Cuba and the Middle East! And praise God for these new opportunities that The Gideons has!

NICARAGUA
The government of Nicaragua has invited The Gideon's International to provide scriptures to help churches in Cuba make scripture resources available to every person, and particularly to the remote and desperately poor region of northeastern Nicaragua. Read more here!

CUBA
The government of Cuba has now opened the country up to receiving scripture resources from outside the country. Through a partnership with the Cuban Council of churches, The Gideon’s International will provide evangelism training and over the next ten years 2.5 million Hope and Spark magazines (in Spanish) for use by the church in evangelism throughout the country. Read more here!

THE MIDDLE EAST
A new TV production studio is now enabling The Gideon’s International to safely share God’s Word with millions in the Middle East through satellite TV programming. Gospel-centred programs are being aired on prime-time secular TV channels in Farsi, Urdu, Punjabi, Assyrian, Arabic, and English. As well, the children’s Spark magazine is being translated into Arabic for use in Vacation Bible Schools in Egypt. Read more here!

EASTER SUNDAY

EASTER SUNDAY

Sunday, April 4, 2021

We have some great news!  Dr. Bonnie Henry has issued a new order to allow for indoor services with a maxiumum of 50 people in attendance, just in time for Easter!

We will be having our in person Easter service on Sunday, April 4 @ 11 AM (please note the later start time).  There are a few additional restrictions that we must follow before and during the service so we wanted to make sure you were aware of the these.

All attendees must practice physical distancing of at least 2 metres and masks are required to be worn by all in attendance (during the entire service except when participating with communion).  And, as before, there will be a temperature check at the door.

Only the worship leader is allowed to sing so no congregational singing allowed.  And, no social gatherings are allowed either before or after the service.  All attendees must pre-register for the Easter service in order to control attendance and to allow for contact tracing.

Caution:  the following people are at a higher risk of suffering from serious complications of COVID-19: a person 70 years of age or older, even if they have been immunized against COVID-19; a person with an underlying medical condition or a compromised immune system.

Each attendee must pass a health check in advance to attend a service.  A health check will be sent out 2 days prior to the service.

We are really looking forward to having this in person service!  If you would like to come, please sign up using the link below.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Joan.

THANK YOU so much for your ongoing support!  Your generosity has been so very much appreciated!

Most of you have switched over to ONLINE GIVING ... but for those who prefer to give through cheques, you are still able to do so by dropping the cheque off at the office or mailing it in to us.

Again, thank you for your faithful gifts in support of Pacific and the Cloverdale Community Kitchen!  We are able to do ministry in a whole new way because of your love and support!  Together we continue to make a difference in our community!

ITEMS NEEDED

Our Refugee Sponorship Team is preparing a home for our family: Benjamin, Kiyana & Nila.  Although they are still in Turkey and we have not received any notice of when they will be able to come, we have made it our priority to pray for their release - to ask God for a miracle!

Would you be willing to pray for them - that they will be brought to Canada?  And as we pray, we want to be ready for our prayers to be answered, so we are now collecting items for their new home.

We are in need of the following items ... can you help out in any way?  Or, if you know of a company who could donate to this cause, would you be able to ask on our behalf?
