MISSIONAL MOMENT

MISSIONAL MOMENT

Pacific is a church that is passionate about missions and this week we want to hightlight a partnership we have with Esperanza - Pacific supports Esperanza through giving and prayer.

Esperanza is a place of ministry to the village of Shiroles, in the Talamanca mountains of Costa Rica, led by Kimi and Raul Booher.

Children of the Promise - The group of children they are purposefully investing in, believing them to be a foundational part of the change they desire to see in the community.  They meet weekly with this group of about 30 children for a meal, a time of Bible study, games, play, and school help. Alongside these children they have also been able to reach out to our elderly and neighbours and with them we have been able to learn more about the culture that surrounds them. Read more here.

Banquet for the Elderly - The Banquet Ministry is our way of reaching out to the elderly in their community.  A hot meal is prepared twice a month, delivered to about 30 individuals, taking time to pray and visit, all with the purpose of sharing the love of God with each person.  About twice a year a party is planned, where they gather for a special time of fellowship. Read more here.

Soccer Tournaments - Soccer is a central aspect of life in Costa Rican communities and relationships are built on the soccer field! Read more here.

Womens Sewing Group - Once a week the women gather to fellowship and to craft.  Many different skills are learnt, all the way from jewellery making to paper crafts and learning to sew, along with building friendships and relationships with the Lord.  Read more here.

Outreach to a Remote Community - Alto Coen is a community that is near to the heart of Esperanza.  It is a community that is quite a ways into the mountain, quite a trip from their town of Shiroles.  It is embedded deep in the jungle and the people of this place have become friends.  We have the opportunity to take a mission group and go quarterly, carrying supplies and donations each visit. Growth Groups

Growth Groups

Here at Pacific we are committed to providing avenues for every person in our church to connect with others.

One of the primary ways that we aim to provide means for connection to occur organically is through Growth Groups, which are small groups that help us grow in Christ and in community with each other.

Our Growth Groups will have Christmas, Spring and Summer breaks and to ensure that all people at PCC have the tremendous opportunity to connect with each other, we need both group leaders and hosts.

If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Pastor Prince at Pastor Prince's Email or register here to lead or host a group!
