HONOURED TO HELP!

HONOURED TO HELP!

Since the devastating floods, CCK put out a call for help on social media!  The response has been amazing and through the donations that have been pouring in, CCK has been able to deliver food, clothing, diapers and toys to those affected by the flood!

This week, CCK delivered food and supplies to Indigenous Communities cut off by the flood waters and mudslides.  This meant getting these supplies quickly to where it was needed most.  They are delivering more food and supplies into the Fraser Valley this week.  If you would to help out with this need, we are collecting the following items:

Non perishable food (peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned protein, canned fruit, rice, condiments), Diapers, New toys, Gas and grocery gift cards, Gently used clothing and shoes, Blankets.

Monetary donations can be made online at www.mycck.ca/donate   Thank you for continuing to help us support those in need.

Please continue to pray for those affected by this disaster - for those who have suffered tragic loss - loss of lives and homes/businesses - for those who have been relocated to temporary shelter - for those who have no food and no way to support their families!

MOBILE MEALS DRIVERS NEEDED

MOBILE MEALS DRIVERS NEEDED

CCK's Mobile Meals program is growing!  On average, we deliver 650 meals each week to our seniors, low income families and those who simply can't cook for themselves.  Mobile Meals is delivered Monday through Thursday (Thursday night, our clients can order 2 meals to keep one for Friday) and each night we offer a choice of a standard meat dish or a vegetarian dish.  All for only $5 delivered to your door!

We rely on amazing volunteers to drive these hot, nutritious meals to each home!  We have a great group of drivers who are committed to driving weekly or every second week, but often find we just need one or two more drivers each night to get the meals delivered.  Would you be willing to take on a route?  Whether it's once a week or twice a week - or even once a month - we'd love your help!  Delivering meals is so rewarding - the recipients are always thrilled to see a smiling face (behind the mask, that is).  If you can help in any way, please reach out to us:  778-617-3000 OR mobilemeals@mycck.ca

A BEAUTIFUL MESS

A BEAUTIFUL MESS

SUNDAYS AT 10 AM

God is working, right now, building his amazing Kingdom here on Earth. What a blessing it is to join the Lord in His kingdom work here at Pacific by pressing in on the values of Life Together, Spiritual Formation, Embodying the Gospel and Transformative Justice. We have been studying how the Lord moved in these ways for the early church and we believe he is moving like this in our time.

If we take “Life Together” seriously, we must agree that our church is willing to embrace the messiness of belonging together and the difficulty of being authentic. What do I mean by Life Together being messy? This kind of messy is different from, for example, my teenager’s bedroom, which is more like chaos, but rather, I am referring to a good mess; a beautiful mess. A good mess is more like my kitchen countertop while I am baking apple pie or my back deck when Debbie and I are planting our garden in the spring. This type of mess is more about transformation and growth, and this is what we open ourselves up to when we do Life Together.

Join us each Sunday at 10 AM!

PACIFIC KIDS MINISTRY

PACIFIC KIDS MINISTRY

We are going through the THINK ORANGE curriculum - designed to teach our kids that the number one priority in life is to LOVE GOD!

Classes have been running smoothly for 4-5 year olds and Grades 1-4 and we are so encouraged to report that we now have volunteers to open the toddlers room (2&3 yr olds) starting November 28th!

Our nursing mother's room and nursery will continue to be open and available to use under parental supervision. With that said we are still in great need of a couple more leaders for Grade 1-4 as well as volunteers willing to help in all classes once per month.  Please prayerfully consider if this is a ministry the Lord is calling you to, whether its on a spare list, a short term basis or longterm!

There will be no classes on December 26

And, on December 19, we are planning to have a Christmas party for the kids of all ages!  Stay tuned for more details!

Please be in prayer as we continue to seek God's leading for a Family Ministries Pastor!

PRAYER ROOM

PRAYER ROOM

We are excited to be able to continue on with our Prayer Room!  It will be open Monday to Friday, from 9am until 4pm and Sundays from 8am until noon!  To schedule a time in the prayer room click here!

We encourage and challenge you to be intentional and come to the room and pray, however that may look for you.  We have dozens of scriptures posted on the walls to encourage prayer, photos of staff and elders, maps of various locations, a wooden cross to tack sins and petitions to, art books to colour, connect your phone to the wireless speaker and worship away!

There are so many ideas for prayer in the room so push aside fear and excuses and come experience the richness of our Lord.  Give him an hour - you won't regret it (except perhaps that you didn't sign up for two hours!!). Please contact kevintribe44@gmail.com if you have any further questions.
