MIDWEEK UPDATE
Hello Pacific! Happy Wednesday to you! This coming Sunday, we have Dr. Ross Hastings with us and he will be preaching on Psalm 20. This powerful Psalm is well worth a pre-read to help get our hearts ready to hear the message that God has laid on Ross' heart. A very fitting Psalm for this journey through Covid that we are all experiencing! Pslam 20: In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry. 4 May he grant your heart’s desires 6 Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king. 9 Give victory to our king, O Lord! |

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS THIS SUNDAY!
Spring is just around the corner so it's that time of year where we get to SPRING FORWARD (and, sadly, lose an entire hour of precious sleep)! Please remember to set your clocks forward before you go to bed on Saturday night (March 13th) and then we will see you at the new 10 AM daylight savings time for our Sundays Livestreaming! |

C&MA ConnectionSLIPPAGE | By David Hearn In an effort to combat the COVID-19 blues, Agnes and I have taken up a new pastime – hiking. We discovered that the trails near our home lead to breathtaking landscapes. Our eldest daughter and son-in-law, who are adventurers at heart, often serve as the spark that inspires Agnes and me to set out on a wilderness trek. It also doesn’t hurt that hiking is an opportunity for us to spend time with our grandkids while staying within current COVID-related restrictions. Many of the trails are quite challenging with steep inclines and rocky crevices and, in the winter, they are even more daring as ice forms over the trails and rocks. I must admit, this has created high levels of anxiety for Agnes and me as we try not to slip and fall. One of the concerns I have for our Alliance family of churches is the increased potential for spiritual slippage during the months of isolation and restrictions that COVID-19 imposes. The spiritual journey is a challenging one at the best of times, but during an extended season of crisis, it is like walking on ice on a pathway in the wilderness. Increased levels of anxiety, depression, and relational tensions can lead to the temptation to give up or become careless, which can result in a serious fall. In 1 Corinthians 10:12, the Apostle Paul warns, “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” For more infomation visit:

Growth Groups
Here at Pacific we are committed to providing avenues for every person in our church to connect with others. One of the primary ways that we aim to provide means for connection to occur organically is through Growth Groups, which are small groups that help us grow in Christ and in community with each other. Our Growth Groups will have Christmas, Spring and Summer breaks and to ensure that all people at PCC have the tremendous opportunity to connect with each other, we need both group leaders and hosts. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Pastor Prince at Pastor Prince's Email or register here to lead or host a group! |
