On Sunday, December 12, we will be having a CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA!!  We had so much fun at the Harvest Festival, we wanted to plan another opportunity for us to come together as a church and enjoy an afternoon of festivities! 

We are planning something for all ages so be sure to mark this date on your calendar and join in on the fun! The Commons and Fireside areas will be beautifully decorated to make our event very festive!  Jim Sawatsky will be providing live Christmas music for us.

Christmas Hampers:  Please consider bringing a new toy or food to give to our CCK Christmas Hampers.  We will have our collection boxes out for you to place these items in.

Hello Church Family!  Our Coldest Night of the Year takes place on Saturday, February 26 and we are looking for caring, compassionate people like you to take to the streets yet again in support of the Cloverdale Community Kitchen - help us raise support to help people who are  experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

Hello Pacific!  We have received a student grant for the Cloverdale Community Kitchen and we are accepting applications for this position!  It is open to students ages 18-29.  The position will allow you to gain experience working in the kitchen (mobile meals prep) as well as the food bank and warehouse.  It is a busy position but a very rewarding one! 

If you are in that age category and you would like to gain experience working with the Cloverdale Community Kitchen, please reach out to us!  The position runs from January 1, 2022 to February 26, 2022 and will be considered full time for that duration.  Please contact Joan at joan@mycck.ca to apply.

Our Annual General Meeting took place last night!  Thanks to Pastor Alex, the meeting was recorded so if you were not able to attend, you are welcome to watch the meeting via the link below! 

We have spent many months in prayer - asking God to bless our congregation with a Family Ministries Pastor.  We are excited to announce that God has answered that prayer and Melissa Bargen has joined our team effective today, December 1, 2021.   We are so encouraged and we look forward to officially introducing her to Pacific very soon!  Welcome Melissa & Family!

As we reflect on this past year, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the amazing Saviour that we serve!  As a church and as a staff, we have seen so many God moments throughout the year where we have cried out to Him and He has answered!  Our hearts are grateful for His continued blessing on us.

As we look forward to our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, we are, once again, filled with gratefulness for the amazing Gift of Jesus who was sent to save us!  We invite you to join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.  We have planned two beautiful services filled with carols, scripture reading and a message from God's word!  The services will be at 4:30 PM and 6 PM and we'd love to see you there!

Although we are still under Covid restrictions and are following the District guidelines that have been given to us, we believe there is still room to invite a friend.  Perhaps there is someone in your circle who doesn't know our Saviour!  Why not take this opportunity to ask them to join you!   Looking forward to being together for this special service!

CCK's Mobile Meals program is growing!  On average, we deliver 650 meals each week to our seniors, low income families and those who simply can't cook for themselves.  Mobile Meals is delivered Monday through Thursday (Thursday night, our clients can order 2 meals to keep one for Friday) and each night we offer a choice of a standard meat dish or a vegetarian dish.  All for only $5 delivered to your door!

We rely on amazing volunteers to drive these hot, nutritious meals to each home!  We have a great group of drivers who are committed to driving weekly or every second week, but often find we just need one or two more drivers each night to get the meals delivered.  Would you be willing to take on a route?  Whether it's once a week or twice a week - or even once a month - we'd love your help!  Delivering meals is so rewarding - the recipients are always thrilled to see a smiling face (behind the mask, that is).  If you can help in any way, please reach out to us:  778-617-3000 OR mobilemeals@mycck.ca

Let's face it - we are all going through a very difficult season! The added stresses and pressure from Covid is overwhelming - add to that the stresses of balancing work and home life - it gets to be too much and we reach the breaking point!

The Gathering is designed to offer support to each of us! We are in this together and The Gathering is that safe, inclusive community where we stand together and where no struggle is too small or too great to share with others.

LIVESTREAMING - STILL HAPPENING AT 10 AM ON SUNDAYS!

The Second Sunday of Advent is a time for us to reflect on the Peace that Jesus brings to us.  

Jesus offers us that inner peace - the peace that passes all understanding - the peace that comes during and after the storms of life - the peace that is given when we receive His forgiveness - the peace that comes from our assurance of salvation - the peace that comes knowing that God will heal this very broken world and He will come again to take us to Heaven where we will experience eternal peace.  As we move towards the Second Sunday of Advent, let's focus on Jesus and the many ways He offers us peace.
