We have a new ministry start at Pacific.  It's currently in it's infant stage.  Here's the ministry's purpose:

To meet the needs of individuals and families of Pacific that are in need by providing ready-to-eat meals.  It is designed to help ease daily burdens by using a network of volunteers within Pacific to serve one another by meeting the practical need of food preparation.

This ministry is for the use of any family or individual of Pacific experiencing difficulty making meals because of emergencies, hospitalization or injury, death in the family, child birth, etc.  This ministry is a direct response to the Mission and Vision of Pacific (Embraced by Christ; embracing his world).  The meals ministry is an excellent way to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to make a difference in someone's life. Meals do not always have to be homemade; this is meant to provide something practical, not to impress someone with your advanced culinary skills.

“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.  Practice hospitality.”  Romans 12:13

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  John 13:35

The goal is to launch this ministry into full capacity by the end of September.  We are looking for individuals who would like to be on the Meals Ministry team.  People that are willing and able to provide meals when a request is received on a rotating basis.

For more information, please read the short handbook below, or contact Julia Langley njlangley@shaw.ca.  You can also join the group by completing this volunteer form and Julia will follow-up with you ASAP.
