GROWTH GROUP TRAINING

PCC’s leadership team is devoted to seeing our GGs thrive and excel and we are committed to providing opportunities for you–our GG leaders, hosts and coaches–to receive further training to ensure that you are in a position to continue to offer excellent leadership to the GGs you facilitate.  We have planned 2 equipping and training opportunities that we would love for all of our group leaders and hosts to attend. 

Growth Group Leadership Training with Glen Forrester
Sunday, April 3 @ 11:50 AM (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes)

This facilitation opportunity will be focused on multiple aspects that are needed for small groups to thrive, such as group structure, expectations, leadership, control, study questions, resources, and Q & A.   Glen has been attending Pacific for over 20 years. He has served on our Elders Board for several years in the past, and he has effectively led small groups in the church context for almost 30 years. 

Growth Group Leadership Training on Facilitating Discussions with Iona Snair
Sunday, April 24 @ 11:50 AM (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes)

This facilitation opportunity will be on Small Group Discussions, and it will be led by Iona Snair. Iona is the Associate Director of “Lifeteams,” which is an organization that emphasizes experience-based training in the context of community living, spiritual formation, practical teaching and relational youth work. Over the past 20 years Iona has been a youth work instructor, first at the University of the Fraser Valley, then at Columbia Bible College and now at Lifeteams. She has a M.A. in Christian Studies from Regent College and a BA in Social Development from University of Waterloo.

At Lifeteams, Iona is the head of Lifeteams Resources; this role has given her the opportunity of producing small group discussion curriculum.  For more info on Lifeteams click here.
