As part of our commitment to "Life Together," our Spiritual Care & Connection Team helps foster care, encouragement, prayer, and meaningful connection within our church family. Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing the couples who serve on this team.
Please meet Mike & Kathy Richardson!
After getting married, completing their seminary degrees, welcoming their three sons, and serving on staff at a local church in Fort Worth, Texas, Kathy and Mike sensed God's call to immigrate to Surrey, B.C., in 1985. They soon became Canadian citizens.
Since coming to Canada, Kathy has served on worship teams in the churches where Mike pastored for 20 years and taught at Pacific Academy for 25 years. Mike also taught at Northwest Baptist College, Trinity Western University, and Columbia Bible College, and later served as a therapist at a counselling centre in Langley.
Married for nearly 52 years, Kathy and Mike love spending time with their three sons, their spouses, and their grandchildren, all of whom live in the Seattle area. Doing life, family, and ministry together has been a defining theme throughout their marriage.
Since joining PCC in 2012, they have faithfully served in a variety of ministries, including the Missions Team, Care Team, Prayer Team, Growth Group ministry, Storehouse, and the new ESL ministry. Kathy currently serves as a PCC Elder. Beyond their local church involvement, they are both active with Kurumbuka Leadership Solutions, where they value opportunities to serve in Rwanda. Whether at home or abroad, Kathy and Mike are passionate about offering care, encouragement, and support by simply doing life alongside others.
