Love Cloverdale is our ongoing initiative to bless, serve, and reach the people in our neighbourhoods through acts of compassion, generosity, and practical support. As followers of Jesus, we believe we're called to be the hands and feet of Christ in our city, meeting real needs and pointing people to real hope.
We offer coffee, hot chocolate, and prayer to food bank clients while they're waiting to receive food. We start preparing the space and brewing the coffee at 9:30am, and we stay until around noon when the last food bank client goes in. Our heart is to build relationships, offer prayer, and show hospitality to immigrants from around the world and low-income families!
Our purpose is to build a bridge for love, care, and the hope of the gospel to be shared. This is a unique opportunity for the mission field to come to us, and our first step is to be intentional about building relationships with the food bank clients.
Before our coffee time, we offer beginner-level English Conversation Classes to New Canadians, who desire to learn Canadian culture, and how to listen and talk in English. In a round-table format, one facilitator leads 3-5 English learners through everyday conversational topics, in hopes of helping immigrants feel more comfortable speaking to people in their daily lives.
We're looking for people to serve Cloverdale with us! We'd love to grow the team with individuals who feel passionate about sharing the good news and loving people in practical ways. We're looking for people who are:
Available on Mondays
Good at asking questions and active listening
Friendly and enjoy meeting new people
Comfortable offering prayer

Let’s come together to share Christ’s love in simple, practical, and relational ways.
Our mission is to bring the light and love of Jesus beyond the walls of our church building. Cloverdale is made up of diverse familiies, unique individuals, and inspiring stories. Some joyful, others broken. Through simple acts of service, intentional relationships, and consistent presence, we believe transformation can happen. As we build bridges with people, our prayer is that they would encounter Jesus through our loving kindness.
We walk the streets of Cloverdale's neighbourhoods, schools, parks, and business areas, asking God to move in power, bring peace, and open hearts to His love.
We meet up at a location in Cloverdale to pick up trash and hand out invitations to check out our church. It's a great way to bless people and start conversations with strangers!
We host and participate in public events to build bridges, foster connection, shine the light of Christ, and change the narrative people have about churches.
From gathering donations for Cloverdale Christmas Hampers to fundraising for Coldest Night of the Year, we meet tangible needs during key moments throughout the year in partnership with Storehouse Society.
