Over the last few months our community garden here in the PCC parking lot has been coming back to life. While it hasn’t been in service for some time, we began the process of cleaning it up and preparing it for a new growing season. What started as a dream—to grow local, organic produce and create a shared space where people of all ages, cultures, and abilities can come together—is something we still deeply value and hope to see flourish again.
Recently, the individual who had been leading the garden cleanup and restoration efforts had to step away from the project. As the growing season moves quickly and the garden is already beginning to become overgrown again, we are looking for someone—or even better, a team of volunteers—who would be interested in taking ownership of the garden moving forward.
In the past, the garden included a dozen boxes producing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that supported the Storehouse Society (formerly Cloverdale Community Kitchen). The produce was used in meals and cooking classes that encouraged farm-to-table practices, food preservation, and community connection.
Whether you have gardening experience or just a willingness to help, we’d love to hear from you. Or if you’ve been wanting to grow your own produce but don’t have your own yard or garden space, this could be a great opportunity to get involved. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply interested in learning, we’d love to see people come together to help bring the garden back to life.

Together, we hope this space can continue to grow into something meaningful for our church and community.
