The kitchen is now complete and functional. We now have received approvals from Fraser Health, our Engineers, the Surrey Fire Department, as well as all of the City inspection approvals. We expect to get our final building occupancy approval by mid- next week.

In many ways the process to fundraise and build the kitchen seems to have been a very long process. However, I was reminded the other evening that from the launch of our $400,000 fundraising campaign for the Cloverdale Community Kitchen to completion has been just a little over 14 months. This time includes an almost seven week waiting time for our Building Permit from the City of Surrey.

My work on the kitchen as the Project Manager is almost over. However, the ministry opportunity that the Cloverdale Community Kitchen now presents to our community is really only just beginning. The goal to build this commercial kitchen was made possible by folks like you and through your support for this project. Together we made it happen.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I would be delighted to give you a personal tour through our church campus and the kitchen, in particular, to talk about the work that we are doing to minister to our local community.  Call me or email me if you want to visit.  Please stay in touch!
