Communion Change

Hi PCC Family, we have changed slightly how we receive the Lord’s Supper. Instead of coming forward to take the elements and returning to our seats to partake of the bread and drink from the cup after everyone has been served, we will pause to partake of the elements at the station where we receive them. There will be a basket on the aisle seat for your empty communion cup. If you prefer to continue taking it back to your seat feel free to do so. 

The primary reason for this is to create more intentional space within our worship experience for responsive prayer to what God may minister to us in our hearts as we listen to His preached word, worship Him through singing songs, listen to scriptures, and pray together, among other expressions. We will have two prayer stations to accommodate this: one in the front and one in the back.

Please know that as believers, we share oneness in Christ. That oneness is represented symbolically as we share the holy meal, so while we may not take the elements at the exact moment together, we are still coming to the Table as one body.
