In 2012 Pacific decided to build a kitchen and since then the Kitchen has grown into a ministry that impacts 100's of lives weekly. Many of Pacific are involved in its work. It is an expression of our belief that the church exists for the world just as Jesus came to serve those in need. Not that those who aren't sick or lost are more important, it is just that we too easily ignore or overlook the obvious needs of our neighbours.
We have witnessed with amazement how a small endeavor to invite people for lasagna on a Monday night has grown into an expansive array of services and activity including a huge Christmas Hamper project, a Bike Shop, a Food Pantry, Meals through through the week.
We see this ministry as an extension and expression of the table we share together on Sunday mornings. On Sunday mornings, the table is declares that Jesus is the one who rules, provides, and sustains us. His table ministry is the the table that we extend into the world.
Check out CCK's website about ways you can be directly involved. As you attend Pacific, you won't miss hearing about it and seeing it in action.
