Andrea Barns grew up in Chilliwack, attending a Mennonite church and spending considerable time at the local summer camp, where she formed a personal relationship with Jesus. She then went to the University of British Columbia, where she studied for many, many years. In Vancouver, she met her now husband, Kristofer, while attending Tenth Avenue Alliance. During this time, Andrea was on the leadership team for the evening service, leading pre-service prayer and welcoming teams.
She and Kris moved out to the Willoughby area of Langley in 2016, and that is when they discovered PCC. The sense of community, diversity, and sense of purpose drew them in and kept them as active members.
Currently, Andrea has been serving in the kids ministry while Kris is helping out at the sound booth when they aren't chasing around their three kids, Audrey, Grayson and Nora.
Throughout the week, Andrea works as a Clinical Pharmacist at Langley Memorial Hospital (LMH), where she coordinates care with a focus on patientsafety and clinical excellence.
