We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new summer interns, Maryam Amin Pour and Annabeth Smith, who will bring fresh energy and ideas to our team!
Additionally, we’re delighted to share that Liv Meerkerk will continue in her vital role as our children's worker.
"Hi, my name is Maryam Amin Pour, and I’m so grateful to be serving with the Kids Ministry team at PCC this summer. I’m originally from Iran, and I moved to BC in 2024 to begin my graduate studies at Trinity Western University. I’ve been living in Surrey since then, and earlier this year, I was blessed to find a spiritual home at Pacific Community Church, where I’ve felt truly welcomed and encouraged in my faith journey.
My background is in architecture, and I’ve always had a love for art and creativity since I was a child. That passion led me to begin volunteering as a kids’ art instructor, which quickly became one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. Working with children has opened my eyes to their God-given joy, imagination, and faith. Through this journey, I’ve come to see that serving others—especially children—is a reflection of how Jesus calls us to love and lead.
I’m excited for the journey ahead and thankful for the opportunity to grow alongside the amazing kids and families here at PCC as we follow Jesus together."

"Hey! I'm Annabeth Smith and I am so excited to be the Youth Ministry Intern this summer at PCC! I am graduating from high school this June and plan on studying Missions and Ministry in the future because I have felt the Lord put a call on my life for ministry. My heart is for individuals to walk in the truth that Jesus loves them and grow in daily relationship with the Lord.
I love finding Jesus in the everyday moments, whether while drinking an iced coffee or having conversations. I also love travelling, ultimate frisbee, being outside in the sunshine, and getting to know other people.
I am so excited to spend this summer walking alongside the youth in their journey with Jesus, serving the church, and fostering a beautiful community through joyful activities!"
